Staff at South Somerset Homes proud to be loud for charity
7 February 2005

Staff at South Somerset Homes took part in the “Proud to be Loud” event on Friday 4th February in aid of Beating Bowel Cancer’s Loud Tie Campaign 2005 to help raise much needed funds to fight bowel cancer, the UK’s second biggest killer cancer. Staff wore their wildest and wackiest ties and had some fun raising money for the charity. In total more than £30 was raised.

Beating Bowel Cancer not only wants the ‘Loud Tie’ campaign to raise much needed funds, but also to raise awareness of the disease, to promote equal access for all to the latest bowel cancer treatments, and to encourage people to talk ‘out loud’ about bowel cancer.

Pictured here sporting their wacky ties from top clockwise are Richie Horton (Head of Strategic Finance & Treasury), Ange Hoskin (Finance Administrator), Tanya Veitch (Housing Assistant), Jim Bruckel (Housing Officer), Mark Saunders (Asset Management Accountant), Gill Newton (Treasury Accountant), Stuart Bisset (Incomes Controller), Stevie Bowditch (Payments Controller) and Debbie Hodges (Lettings Assistant)
