South Somerset Homes tradesmen star in national Volkswagen advertising campaign

Two tradesmen who work for South Somerset Homes have recently starred in a series of advertisements across the UK for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. South Somerset Homes were chosen from hundreds of other Volkswagen van owners who volunteered themselves, and their vans, for the role.

The advertising campaign is currently featuring on billboards across the UK, in national press and in numerous trade press publications. The work is a major departure for van advertising in the UK in that it focuses on loyal and enthusiastic customers with their vans.

The shot, which was used for the campaign was taken at Malmesbury Court, in Yeovil, one of South Somerset Homes’ extra care sheltered schemes.

Mark Smalley and Dave Groves who were volunteered to take part on behalf of the company said that they had enjoyed taking part. Mark said, “It was good fun and is amazing that we are now featuring in national newspapers. However we have asked that next time we get asked to do something like this that we would like to go to somewhere much hotter than Yeovil!”
