Sheltered Scheme finish new patio area ready for the summer
17 June 2005

A sheltered housing scheme in Langport has completed its new patio area for the residents just in time for the summer. Portcullis Road Sheltered Housing Scheme, which is owned and managed by South Somerset Homes, has converted an area of grassland into a patio area for all the residents to enjoy.

The project was approved by the Area North Board and funded by South Somerset Homes. R L Property Maintenance of Yeovil carried out the work on behalf on South Somerset Homes. The company also bought the residents some new patio furniture for their new patio area.

Pat Collins, Scheme Manager at Portcullis Road said, “The residents are absolutely delighted and are looking forward to many cream teas and cheese & wine afternoons in the sunshine. I would also like to say thank you to everyone that has been involved with the project, we are absolutely thrilled.”
