Staff from South Somerset Homes don their dungarees for Wallace and Gromit's 'wrong' trousers day
05 July 2004

In the centre (left to right) holding the SSH banner are Lyn Colbourn (Personnel Administrator), Trischa Ellis (Personnel Officer) and Charlotte Ibbotson (Incomes Assistant). Geoff Atkinson (Chief Executive) is pictured in the centre baring his legs and is surrounded by other members of staff who all wore the ‘wrong’ trousers for Wallace & Gromit’s Wrong Trousers Day.

On Friday staff from South Somerset Homes wore ‘wrong' trousers for the day and donated money to the Wallace and Gromit's Children's Foundation. The money raised will go towards improving the quality of life for children in hospitals and hospices all around the UK.

£1 was collected from everybody in a pair of fetching slacks ranging from pyjama trousers to shorts and other wacky creations. In addition members of staff throughout the company baked scones with strawberry jam and cream to sell. Everyone was encouraged to wear 'wrong' trousers for the occasion and as you can see from the photo, many did just that or if not a very slight variation! In doing so they raised £100.
