Lodge celebrates its silver anniversary of the scheme with a refurbishment

South Somerset Homes Extra-care Sheltered Housing Scheme at Park Lodge will celebrate its Silver Anniversary on Wednesday 21 st November with a brand new refurbishment of individual flats and communal areas. Cream tea and cakes will be offered from 2.30pm on the 21st for the residents and representatives of contractors Connaught, who completed part of the refurbishment.
Margaret Russell, Scheme Manager of Park Lodge said ‘The residents are over the moon with the refurbishment, it definitely has made a real difference. The celebration on the 21 st will be a great opportunity to reminisce over the years and the fantastic times shared including the opening of the scheme by the Duchess of Kent.’
David Mansfield, Director of Housing said ‘The refurbishment has been completed to a very high standard and it’s now great to see the residents enjoying the new communal areas. It’s a fantastic landmark for the scheme to be running for 25 years. ’
