MP David Laws will open the newly refurbished communal room at Oak Tree Sheltered Scheme, Stoke Sub Hamdon

MP David Laws will officially open Oak Tree Sheltered scheme in Stoke sub Hamdon newly refurbished communal room. Oak Tree Sheltered Scheme, which is owned and managed by South Somerset Homes, will host a celebratory tea party on Friday 4 th April at 2.45pm where David Laws will unveil the refurbished communal room to the residents.

The scheme at Oak Tree has had major refurbishments with the hall and entrance being redecorated, with new carpet and blinds. The work has been completed to a very high standard by South Somerset Works.

Scheme Manager Sharon Macbean said ‘All the residents are very excited about the prospect of a new lounge to socialise in and are delighted that David Laws has took the time to come and see the refurbishment and unveil the refurbished lounge to the residents. The work that has been completed by SSH has made the lounge very pleasing on the eye, making it a very welcoming area for residents to socialise.’

A photo opportunity will be offered for the local media on Friday 4 th April at 2.45pm.
