SSH to hold healthy living open day

South Somerset Homes is holding a special open day on Saturday 25th November at their Headquarters in Alvington. The free drop-in event is being held between 10.00am - 3.00pm, and promises to offer local residents a little encouragement to make small steps towards leading a healthier life.

Advice will be given out covering the following issues: learning what your blood pressure and cholesterol level is; eating the healthy recommended 5 fruit/veg a day; breast screening, prostrate cancer, osteoporosis and bowel cancer advice.

There will also be an opportunity to sample a free head massage, hand massage and facial. Refreshments will also be provided, free of charge - come and sample some healthy fruit smoothies.

A raffle will also be held on the day, with many fantastic prizes, including a hamper of fruit, swim tickets and lots, lots more.
