South Somerset Homes residents celebrate Queens Diamond wedding with a party

Residents from Muchelney House sheltered scheme and Orchard Vale/Aplins close celebrated the Queens Diamond wedding anniversary with a party in Muchelney House’s communal lounge. Residents enjoyed music provided by Mr Ken Westlake followed by a buffet tea.

The South Somerset Homes residents had a wonderful afternoon together eating, singing and sharing their experiences of the Queens wedding.

Jan Skeemer a Relief Scheme Manager at Muchelney House said, "The residents thoroughly enjoyed the day and made a real celebration of the anniversary. Many residents could reminisce on the actual wedding day of the Queen in 1947.”
