SSH sheltered scheme celebrates 25th anniversary

Catherine’s Close, a sheltered housing scheme in Castle Cary, which is owned and managed by South Somerset Homes, has recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.

Residents, family and friends enjoyed a buffet lunch and drinks to celebrate its anniversary and eldest resident Winifred Veryard who has been a resident since the scheme opened and was one of the first tenants to move into the original bungalows had the honour of cutting the cake.

Maureen Scott, Scheme Manager at Catherine’s Close said, “It has been a really super day, everyone who has joined in the celebrations has really enjoyed our special day.”
