Over 160 residents attend open day at South Somerset Homes to discuss Northbrook Road Regeneration Scheme

Over 160 residents attended the open day at South Somerset Homes to discuss the plans for the regeneration of the Northbrook Road area of Yeovil.

The open day, which had 4 sessions starting at 12 noon, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm, included a short presentation from the Development Manager Jay Lambe followed by a question and answer session. After this the residents had a chance to look at the plans for the Northbrook area, have a chat with any of the representatives from South Somerset Homes, contractors Connaught and Mansell, timber frame manufacturers Space 4/Frame UK and architects Calfordseaden plus have a coffee and homemade cake before been driven home on the free bus.

As well as residents, South Somerset Homes’ board members, District Councillors and MP David Laws also attended the open day.Jay Lambe, Development Manager said, “The purpose of the open day was to explain to our residents how we would like to improve the area in which they live and ask them what their views and opinions are about it. We very much hope that the residents who attended today found it both useful and worthwhile.“
