Successful Residents Conference 2007

24th October 2007

South Somerset Homes 5th Residents Conference was held on the 17th October, and each year they seem to get bigger and better. A record number of 110 residents attended this year’s conference.

The resident’s enjoyed a vast variety of speaker’s and information that could really make a difference to their lives and future covering topics from debt prevention, pensions and the proposed induction of choice based lettings. The proceedings were concluded with a question and answer session with South Somerset Homes Chief Executive answering questions on the proposed alliance with the Knightstone/Arcadia Group.

David Mansfield, Director of Housing, said, ‘The conference has been a great success and the feedback so far from the residents has been really positive. It was great to see some familiar faces and some new faces in the audience, it was no surprise to see that it was a record attendance.’
