South Somerset Homes and Rok have this week visited St Nicholas Church of England Primary School in Henstridge to talk to the children about the new development of homes to be built at the site at Summerfields in Henstridge.
Representatives from South Somerset Homes and Rok joined the school assembly to talk about issues such as site safety, construction and housing. The discussions were based around ‘Bob the Builder' so that the children were able to understand and join in.
Jay Lambe, Development Manager at South Somerset Homes said, “It is important for us to work with the local community when we are undertaking developments such as this. By going into the local school we are able to explain what we doing and why plus it is always fun for the children.”
Kim Leaver, Site Manager for Rok at the site said, “It is important for the children to be aware of the safety issues involved in such a development as this. By visiting the children we are able to explain the importance of site safety and answer any questions that they may have.”
