South Somerset Homes' Scheme Managers
awarded EdExcel Certificate in Sheltered Housing
26 August 2003

A group of Sheltered Housing Scheme Managers were awarded the EdExcel Certificate in Sheltered Housing last week at the headquarters of South Somerset Homes. David Mansfield, Director of Housing, presented the Scheme Managers with their certificates.

The Certificate in Sheltered Housing course is designed for frontline workers in a sheltered or supported housing environment who are seeking a professional qualification to underpin their experience. Other Scheme Managers have completed this course but this is the first time that the course has been run in house by South Somerset Homes.

David Mansfield, Director of Housing said, “The Scheme Managers have worked hard to achieve this qualification and have gained a great deal from the course. It has strengthened their professionalism and it has also provided them with the confidence of knowing that they have succeeded in obtaining a valuable qualification that will help them not only in their daily working lives but also in their careers.”allen@southsomhomes.co.uk
