Extra Care Sheltered Scheme receives letter from the Queen

An extra care sheltered scheme in Yeovil has received a letter from the Queen. Staff at Malmesbury Court Extra Care Housing Scheme, which is owned and managed by South Somerset Homes, has been officially thanked by the Queen for their hard work and dedication to the scheme.
MP David Laws who has visited Malmesbury Court several times and has always been impressed with all the staff. He said “I wanted to find a way to be able to thank Linda and her dedicated team of carers from Kylemore Care Agency for all the commitment they show to their job and in particular the care and support that they give to their residents.
I decided to write to the Palace and they sent me the letter for Linda and her team. It is just nice that the scheme have been recognised for their hard work and dedication and that they know that it is appreciated by myself, South Somerset Homes and the Queen.”
An abstract from the letter reads as follows “The Queen was naturally pleased to know of the dedication of all those who work at Malmesbury Court and the care and support they give to the elderly residents.
Her majesty would be glad if you could convey her warm good wishes to Mrs Chesters and her team at Malmesbury Court.”
Linda Chesters, Scheme Manager at Malmesbury Court said, “We are absolutely thrilled and delighted to have received this wonderful letter from the Queen. We are going to put it on the wall in the reception so that everyone who visits us can see it.”
