Sheltered housing residents raise money for local hospital
28 February 2005

A group of South Somerset Homes’ sheltered housing residents who live at Higher Bullen in Barwick have raised over £300 for the MacMillan Cancer Award at Yeovil District Hospital. The residents raised the money from the proceeds from their New Year pantomime ‘Little Red Riding Hood.’

Mary Wiseman, a resident of the scheme, who directed the pantomime said, “The production was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who came to see it and those who took part did so with great enthusiasm and humour.”

Elsa Burton, Chairman of the Tenants Panel went on to say, “We would like to thank everyone who was involved in the production and also to all those who helped backstage. We are absolutely thrilled to have raised £308 for the hospital.”
