Auction raises over £500 for older folks trips
28 May 2003

A sheltered housing scheme in Barwick near Yeovil has raised £527.00 for its elderly resident’s trips. The sheltered housing scheme, which is owned and managed by South Somerset Homes, had many items donated to them by local businesses. Some of the items auctioned included toasters, kettles, picture frames, saucepans, carpets and much more.

Pam Durston, Scheme Manager said “We are so thrilled to have raised so much money, it is wonderful. With the money we have raised we will be able to have some lovely days out and have a wonderful Christmas party. I would like to thank all the local businesses for giving us such wonderful items to auction, without their help and support we would not have been able to have had the auction.”n@southsomhomes.co.uk
