South Somerset Homes says goodbye after almost 30 years
31st March 2008
South Somerset Homes said farewell to Rent Systems Administrator, Stuart Bisset who recently switched off his computer for the final time after almost 30 years service.
Stuart joined South Somerset District Council as an Area Rents Assistant in September 1979, and transferred to South Somerset Homes in 1999, when it took over the local authority housing stock.
Stuart has seen lots of changes during his employment. He used to deal with rent arrears before the information was put on computers. He was responsible for selecting cases for the rent collectors to go out and visit. During recent years Stuart’s work has focused on maintaining the company’s computer system, Anite.
Stuart was well regarded by South Somerset Homes, and managers describe him as extremely loyal and hardworking. He is looking forward to his retirement and spending more time with his family.
