South Somerset Homes has recently completed a makeover at their sheltered housing scheme in Crewkerne. The scheme at Chubbs Lawn in Crewkerne has had major improvements carried out to its communal room, which was looking rather tired and gloomy. The room has now been redecorated with new curtains and blinds curtains put up, new carpets laid down and new furniture bought. They also had a brand new fireplace installed in the room.
Marilyn Bergin, the Scheme Manager at Chubbs Lawn said, “We are absolutely thrilled with the works that have been carried out. The community hall is now like stepping into a brand new building, we are so pleased with it. ”
At the same time Marilyn was awarded her long service certificate for 25 years continuous service. Marilyn, who has a reputation for always being caring, cheerful and gracious has been the Scheme Manager at Chubbs Lawn s heltered scheme in Crewkerne since 1999, having joined South Somerset District Council in 1980.
