South Somerset Homes Sheltered Housing Scheme unveil new patio for residents
8 July 2003

Jan Masters (Scheme Manager, Parsonage Place) with Sam Loy (Housing Assistant) and Marcus Bond (Senior Housing Assistant) doing the official unveiling of the new patio.

A sheltered housing scheme in Curry Rivel near Langport has unveiled its new patio for its residents. Parsonage Place Sheltered Housing Scheme, which is owned and managed by South Somerset Homes has converted an area of grassland into a patio area for all the residents to enjoy.

South Somerset Homes funded the project and the work was carried out through the partnering contract for Horticultural Maintenance with South Somerset District Council. The area has patio chairs, table and parasols and Nora Rowsell who is a resident made all the cushions for the chairs.

Jan Masters, Scheme Manager at Parsonage Place, said “The residents are simply delighted and have thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine, cakes and coffee. I am sure they will enjoy many more good times in the future out in the sunshine on their new patio.”
