Having difficulty in paying your rent?

We have a policy on rent payments and arrears recovery. If you cannot pay your rent because of financial difficulties, it is vital that you speak to your Housing Officer.

If we know about your problem we will do everything that we can to provide you with sympathetic and practical help. However, if you fail to respond to our telephone calls or letters requesting regular payment of rent, we will issue a Notice of Seeking Possession and subsequent court action may happen if you still do not contact us.

We will only evict tenants as a last resort, but evictions do happen, even to families.
