Who we are

South Somerset Homes is a housing association. We are an independent, not for profit organisation, known more formally as a registered social landlord (RSL).

Our day-to-day operations are managed by paid staff, but an unpaid Board made up of members from the local community directs our activities as a social landlord.

South Somerset Homes is registered and is governed by rules approved by the Housing Corporation. South Somerset Homes headquarters is at Alvington in Yeovil.

What we do

South Somerset Homes provides and manages good quality housing in and around South Somerset. Our homes are for people who cannot afford to buy the accommodation they need on the open housing market.

South Somerset Homes operates in South Somerset and manages over 8000 homes.
