WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR APPLICATION FORM  

  • Please complete all sections and return the entire form. The application form plays an important part in our selection process and should be completed as fully and effectively as possible, in black ink. Please ensure you sign and date the application form, where indicated.
  • If you wish to enclose any additional sheets with your application, please feel free to do so where necessary.
  • If you are shortlisted for interview, we may need to speak to you urgently – for this reason please ensure you provide a daytime contact telephone number so if necessary we can speak to you during standard office hours, to make arrangements.
  • Please allow sufficient time when returning your completed application to us, so that we receive it by the closing date shown on the form.  
  • We accept faxed or emailed applications as long as the original form follows in the post , as the document is a declaration that requires your signature. If you are emailing us, there can be a delay of up to 24 hours before your email reaches the Personnel office – please allow for this so that we receive your application by the closing date. For this reason we do not recommend emailing on the closing date itself.  
  • Late applications cannot be guaranteed consideration.
  • When posting your application form back, bearing in mind changes to the Royal Mail’s postal charges,please ensure you allow for the correct postage on your envelope – if it is not sufficient, it is the recipient who is charged the outstanding amount, plus a handling fee by the Royal Mail.

Unless stated otherwise, please return your application form to our head office at Alvington, Yeovil (full address stated below and on the application form). Please note we do not acknowledge receipt of applications. You may wish to ring or email to check if it has been received.

We aim to shortlist within 10 working days of the closing date but this is sometimes difficult to achieve when a vacancy attracts a high number of applicants. Only successful applicants will be contacted, therefore if you do not hear from us within 3 weeks of the closing date, your application has not been successful.

The previous information on our terms and conditions is generally applicable to all vacant posts but is not to be construed as contractual or binding in connection with any particular post. Candidates should clarify their eligibility for these conditions at the time of interview.
